What is your One Minute Message to the world?
I’m not asking about your elevator speech or your 30-second pitch or your best pickup line. I’m asking about your WHY. It might be why you do what you do for a living… or for a contribution. It might be your legacy... or what you do because you just can’t not do it. It's what George Bernard Shaw referred to as your Torch.
"Life is no brief candle to me. It is the splendid torch which I’ve got a hold of for the moment. And I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."
I’ve spent the last few months asking this question of thought leaders, entrepreneurs, influencers, change makers and “ordinary people." They are men and women – 19 to 70-something – from more than 14 countries so far, and each has something to say. Their messages range from how to sell your idea to why we must stop selling human beings.
If you know me, you know my life work is about helping every human being find and use their voice.
So, in January I launched the One Minute Message podcast series to give passionate people a platform where they can be heard. Every Tuesday throughout the year I’ll post a new podcast episode with a new guest. I’ve already recorded half the year’s episodes, and each and every one of my guests has touched me in a unique way. They are all literally one-minute messages (maybe in some cases two), so they’re easy to watch and easy to share.
Visit the podcast home page and look around. If one of the messages touches you, please share it to your networks. If you want more control over how you follow the series, just use the podcast subscribe link to get our monthly digests by email. Tune in each week when the episode is freshest, but in case you miss one we’ve got you covered.
I hope these messages will touch you the way they’ve touched me and inspire you to think about your own One Minute Message to the world. It is the thing you are most passionate about in the world, why you feel that passion and what you most want people to know about it.
Here's a link to all the episodes released in January. Have a watch, and let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
