Priorities and Procrastination

What keeps you awake at night?Sleepless procrastinator

What’s the one thing you’re afraid you’ll never accomplish?

What are you doing about it?

What’s stopping you from moving forward?

No, really. Take a moment and sit with these questions, one by one. Take a pen and write down your answers. Your life depends on it.

Every one of us struggles against the status quo, the demands of daily life, the ever-increasing inertia of trying to keep up with what we call progress. And when we finally lay our heads down on our pillows at night, it’s not what we did that keeps us awake, but what we didn’t do.

One in four of the people I work with comes to do my programs because she needs structure to get things done. Another one in four comes because he craves community. So the next time you think you’re the only one who’s not getting it done, remember this post. You’re not alone.

What are your top five priorities for your life?

  • Make a list of the five area of your life you are most passionate about.
  • Choose the first item on your list.
  • Write one paragraph about what you are committed to in this area.
  • Commit to one thing today that you will achieve there, no matter what.

If you’d like a more formal structure to keep you taking action, get in touch with me. That’s what I’m here for. Or check out my next productivity session for creative minds like yours: The Virtual Studio Day. Next one’s this Friday, May 16th.

Only you can deliver on what your heart longs for.
