Look around you. Go on… look up from your screen right now and take a look around you. Everything you see – everything in this physical world – got its start with a thought. Someone like you had a problem and looked for a solution to that problem. Because they looked, they came up with an idea for a pen or a phone or a computer or the stand the computer sits on. From their idea they developed a product, they branded it and they marketed it.
Then voilà. Somehow it ended up there with you.
If that’s not creativity, I don’t know what is.
So take a moment to become aware of your thoughts right now. Be aware of the flow of energy-becoming-matter that extends from you into your world. Are you creating what you want with your thoughts today? Or are you producing things you don’t want because your thoughts are thinking you? No shame. It happens to the best of us.
French mathematician René Descartes made famous the phrase “Cogito ergo sum.”
“I think, therefore I am.”
I’ve always wondered what motivated him to say that, and today I’ve been contemplating it. If you step back from the blackboard, you could write his words as an equation:
I think … I am
“I think and through my thoughts I become what I am.”
The mass-market version of the Law of Attraction identifies the cause and the effect of creativity, but it doesn’t describe the steps in between. The Wheel of Creativity gives you a step-by-step framework for the process through which you move from Thought to Thing. It is a compass to give you direction to where you want to go and a roadmap to navigate the twists and turns in getting there.
Join me in coming weeks as I translate the concepts of the Wheel of Creativity into clear and accessible tools you can use to make that journey.
- How do you make time for what you long for?
- How do you make money doing what you love?
- How do you keep your mind on track when thing’s aren’t going so well?
Let me know what you need.
Leave a comment or drop me an email. Let me know what you need help with and what kind of tools you’d like to see. I’m listening.
In the meantime take time to think. Explore for yourself what that means to LIVE CREATIVE in your life today. One small change can have a big impact in the world around you.
